| Customer Reviews: Great Blocks! January 9, 2007 Lukeysmommy (Manchester, CT United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these blocks for my 21-month-old niece for Christmas and they are just great. They are soft so if your child likes to throw things no one gets hurt! I am thinking of purchasing them for my son who is 20 months old and of course loves throwing!
Long-lasting constructive bathtime fun October 17, 2008 M. Noble (Seattle / Germany) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My parents got me and my siblings these simple foam building blocks from Edushape almost 20 years ago. I remember HOURS of great bathtime fun with my brothers, constructing rivaling towers, great ships, and floating homes for our foam animals. We still have a few of the original set of blocks. And some have tooth marks or corners that were chewed or ripped off, but all in all they are in pretty good condition. They have held their color, they still float, still stick together (when wet), and still stick to the side of the bathtub. I'd call that durable.
Now that I have my own son, I've hunted down more of these same blocks so that he too may have creative constructive bathtime fun.
Lots of fun December 4, 2006 Anna Guy (Brookhaven, PA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Our son got this for his 1st birthday. He was immediately interested in playing with these and chewing on them. He loves to take them out of the bag they came in and put them back in again. They stack well as the foam sticks together a little bit so they don't slide. Our son chews on them all the time and he has left a lot of tooth-marks, but that doesn't detract from the fun. The bag they come in has holes to reduce suffocation risk. I will buy a new set for our next child. This is a great first set of blocks for a toddler.
Nervous April 28, 2010 Tracey These blocks make me very nervous when it comes to my one year old son. He loves to chew on these blocks. So far he has left lots of teeth marks on the blocks but I am afraid one day there will be a chunk missing from one of them. Definately require very close supervision.
Terrible for infants April 13, 2007 E. Seidner (San Francisco) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
The image of these blocks on Amazon is misleading; these foam blocks are very small and could be a choking hazard for infants and toddlers. Also, the materials smell of strong (toxic?), petro-chemicals. We are disappointed with this purchase and plan on returning or discarding the blocks.
